by Peter Flack.

Fiona Claire Capstick, well-known author says in her forward “This book’s message is potent: ‘controlled and ethical hunting within the framework of sustainable utilization is one of the best weapons that biodiversity conservation has in its armory”.
An exceptional book, Peter Flack with his deep knowledge and love of Africa and it’s wild animals, has taken twenty-five of the rarer species, not the ‘Big 5”, written about them and his hunting, alongside many excellent photographs. Amongst anecdotes of his own and other hunter’s experiences, is a wealth of knowledge gained from acute observations, on wildlife and the ethics of hunting.
The most intriguing photograph is that of the once famous “spotted zebra” of the Rukwa Valley, no longer in existence due to poaching.
Peter Flack, considered one of the most experienced hunters of African game, is a trustee of WWF Southern Africa, a life member of Endangered Wildlife Trust and founding member of the Peace Parks Foundation and has published two other books, notably Heart of an African Hunter and Tales of a Trophy Hunter.
